In common with other financial institutions, we are required by law to establish the identity and address of new members and borrowers.
We therefore require to see two documents, one from each of the lists below.
Evidence of who you are
Full national passport
Full national driving licence
Social Security document
Building Society Passbook
Evidence of where you live
Telephone bill (not mobile)
Council Tax request
Bank/building society/credit card statement
Tenancy agreement/mortgage document
You may bring these documents in to our offices when you join, and we will take copies as necessary, or you can send us copies in the post.
If you work for Enfield Council, you may exhibit the documents to Paul Bishop who is based at the UNISON offices at the Civic Centre.

If you live or work in North London we will be pleased to have you as a member.
Joining as a member is easy, all you need to do is complete a membership application and select a way of making payment into your account and complete the accompanying form to allow us to take that payment. We can take savings through direct debit, standing order or can for one of the companies for which we currently offer a payroll deduction scheme, you can complete a Payroll deduction authority. Which one you select is up to you, however we regret that due to the additional administration required we will not lend if you are saving by standing order. You can get the forms from THIS PAGE or complete our online application form HERE and we will contact you about the next steps Once you have completed the forms you can return them to our office by post, or bring them in person to our office or one of our drop-in sessions. .

When applying to join, please remember that you must supply proof of your identity and proof of your address. For details of acceptable evidence please click here. We regret we are prevented by law from opening an account without evidence of identity and address being provided
We can collect your savings either by direct debit or by a weekly standing order or a monthly standing order . If you are in work and your employer operates a payroll deduction scheme with us (click here for a list of participating employers), please complete a payroll deduction form.
If you are not lucky enough to live in North London, you can find out if there is a credit union closer to you by checking www.findyourcreditunion.co.uk
