Serving the community of North London for over 20 years
North London Credit Union
North London Credit Union have experience in funding, bid-writing and working with local authorities, yet we are completely independent.
We’re happy to help organisations work together, to promote social enterprises and share our expertise. We also partner organisations who want to make small loans or grants, but have no mechanism or experience to do so.
Credit unions are not registered charities, but they are not-for-profit social enterprises, strictly monitored, regulated and audited. We are happy to provide more information and arrange visits on request.
We don’t currently accept corporate accounts, but we are investigating the possibility of accepting deposits from certain types of organisations.
In the meantime, we’ve shared details of some other community organisations active in the local area that need your support below.
If you would like us to include your group or discuss other support, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 8366 8244.
Some organisations that we think deserve our members’ support. Note that we have no official links with these organisations, unless stated, we just admire the work they do and would like to help them spread the word. We do not intend to give the impression that any of these organisations endorses or supports us or our projects. If you would like to find out more, please use the contact details or website provided.

The volunteers use it to prepare emergency parcels for people in need, who have been referred by various agencies. They provide enough food to feed a family for 3 days and clients are limited to a small number of visits in a year.
The Trussell Trust - A UK-wide charity that helps set up food banks in areas that need them. Your local Trussell Trust site, how and what to donate can be found here.

New, independent organisations set-up in each area, to ensure that local people have a real say in the way that Health and Social care services are provided. Each is independent, but part of a national network, set up by Parliament, with real powers for change.
Uniformed Organisations for Children and Young People
Rightly enjoying a resurgence of popularity in recent years, they provide a great place to make new friends outside school, learn useful skills and of course, help others in the community. Such groups also need suitable volunteers to help support them.
